The Crew

Captain Boomer Montgomery

Born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio, Captain Boomer grew up catching large mouth with his Grandfather and Uncle in lakes and farm ponds, and small mouth in local creeks and rivers. A love for fishing salt water came at a very young age with regular trips to Destin, Florida on the Back Down captained by Gary Jarvis. After attending Wingate University in North Carolina Captain Boomer’s career as a Fire Fighter began back to Ohio, and finally lead him to Myrtle Beach South Carolina were he has spent his career in public service ever since. The dream of a career on the water coincided with his move to the coast and he began as a deck hand on a 26’ center console, all the while working with Horry County Fire Rescue. In 2013 Captain Boomer purchased a 28’ Wellcraft and took over the offshore portion of the business he was working for. He has been featured on Big Water Adventures with Mark Davis where, accompanied by Bruce Brothers Charters, he caught a 1,000lb Bluefin Tuna on camera. After many successful years as a charter fisherman, Boomer cofounded and was named Chief Operating Officer of American Aquatic & Salt Fever Guide Service. Along with his team of accomplished anglers with top leader board appearances you are sure to have an unforgettable experience!

Captain Nick Palombi

Captain Nick Palombi is a New Jersey native with twenty-five years of experience on the water. College brought him to the Carolina’s nearly 10 years ago and opened his eyes to its abundant fishery. Captain Nick founded and fished on Coastal Carolina University Saltwater Anglers, the only college fishing team to compete and win on a national level. After spending summers as a mate on the back deck he soon pursued his career as a captain. After captaining for four years he now specializes in offshore fishing. Trolling for dolphin, wahoo, tuna and billfish is what he enjoys most. However, any kind of fishing offshore sparks his interest. Captain Nick still fishes competitively from time to time in the area having won Martini’s hook a hoo rodeo, the 1st annual Georgetown County wahoo tournament and division 9 in the SKA, as well as runner up in Martini’s hook a hoo rodeo, a 3rd place finish in the rumble in the jungle king mackerel tournament, top 5 in the US Open King Mackerel tournament and have fished for the southern kingfish association (SKA) national championship three times. Captain Nick looks forward to putting his competitive nature as well as experience on the water to work for you to ensure a safe and productive fishing trip!
