Meet the Captains

Captain Riley

Born and raised in Dunn, NC, Riley grew up fishing the Pamlico sound and Neuse River for Tarpon, Red Drum and Trout. At age 16, he was spending time in Islamorada on the deck as a mate between his schooling. He attended Cape Fear Community College and achieved a degree in Marine Technology and holds a 100 ton Master Captain’s License. Riley’s experiences have given him opportunities to run and be a part of many Charter boats and a Freelance Captain. Riley was also the winning angler in the 62nd annual Big Rock blue marlin tournament, he then went into the private boat world where he competed professionally as a mate in billfish tournaments up and down the east coast. Riley joined our team in 2023 and can’t wait to put you on your bucket list fish! 

Captain Anthony

Originally from Philadelphia, Anthony grew up in Cape May, NJ and started fishing for a living at 14. At 21 moved to Islamorada, FL where he was a Captain for 10 years. Anthony has his 100 ton masters license and has been running Freeman’s for 7 of his 17 years in the industry. Anthony joined our team in 2021 and is one of the proud fathers of @sally_the_sea_horse

Captain Nick

Originally from New Jersey, Nick started fishing at the age of 3 with his dad and grandfather all along the Jersey coast. Nick moved to South Carolina to attend college at Coastal Carolina University where he began his career in the fishing industry at the age of 18 as a mate. After spending numerous years on the back deck Nick became a captain and has been for 10 years now. He has his 100 Ton Masters License and has been running Freeman’s for most of his career as a captain. Nick has been with Salt Fever since it’s inception and is very proud of that.

Captain Tripp

Captain Tripp is well known for his successful backwater fishing in the local waters, his offshore abilities and his luscious golden locks. Tripp’s favorite fish to target is the Speckled Trout and he loves showing off his passion for it.⁠

Captain Bailey

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, Bailey got his love for the water from growing up living on Lake Wylie.  Avid in both inshore and offshore fishing, Bailey's favorite is Gulf stream trolling for Wahoo and Tuna.  Bailey joined our team in 2021 as a mate and is now becoming one of our Captains starting this season!.  He is the other very proud father of sally the Sea horse
